- "QUILTBAG" stands for "Queer/Questioning, Undecided, Intersex, Lesbian, Trans, Bisexual, Asexual, Gay." It's a more inclusive version of LGBTQ. So why are we worrying about gay rights on a gender equality website?
Easy. Gay rights and gender equality go hand-in-hand. The root of anti-gay people is the idea that men can only be with women and women can only be with men. By promoting the idea that being gay is somehow wrong, men and women are being told what to do based on their sex.
If we can overturn this outdated ideology, we'll be one step closer to being considered equals who can properly function with or without each other. Search
